Biography

Erin Evenhouse is a Program Associate for Transportation. In this role she supports transportation agencies and stakeholders to advance projects from DOT innovation to Complete Streets implementation. Before assuming this role and since 2012 Erin led Transportation for America’s outreach in the Midwest, where she built hundreds of partnerships to keep members and allies apprised of transportation policy developments and opportunities in DC. In this role she also supported a state DOT to develop a performance-based project selection process and built out T4America’s creative placemaking program.

Erin’s past hats include managing communications for the University of Michigan, TIF grant administration for the City of Chicago, and best-practice research in tolling technology, civic engagement, “shrinking cities” administration, and economic development. Erin earned her Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and is currently based in Chicago, IL, where she enjoys riding her bike along the Lakefront Trail.
