Urge Congress to fully fund key transportation programs

The deadline to sign is Monday, April 1

If you represent an organization or are an elected official, please sign our letter urging Congress to fully fund key transportation programs at or above IIJA-authorized levels.

On March 11, 2024, the Biden administration’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) sent the proposed fiscal year (FY) 2025 President’s Budget to Congress. This will begin the Congressional process of amending and/or approving the budget for the next fiscal year (starting October 1st).

President Biden’s budget proposal is a good starting point but does not meet the authorizations set by Congress in the IIJA. Many of these programs, especially USDOT’s competitive grants, have garnered immense support from local and state Departments of Transportation. Communities around the country have developed new and innovative projects based on the expectation of IIJA-authorized funding levels. This has left these programs oversubscribed. Now is the time to expand them to meet local demand and fund the projects that will build stronger and more sustainable communities.

The deadline to sign this letter is Monday, April 1. This letter can only be signed by organizations and elected officials.
