The Route to Reform: Blueprint for a 21st Century Federal Transportation Program will be released May 11, in coordination with the briefing.

UPDATED: Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania will be keynoting our briefing on Monday.

For those of you in the Washington, D.C. area, we would like to invite you to a special briefing on Capitol Hill this Monday (May 11) as we release the Transportation For America “Blueprint” for this year’s Federal Transportation Bill.

If our platform, released in February, lays out the vision and goals for America’s transportation system, then the Blueprint contains the detailed directions for getting there.

As Congress prepares to consider transportation authorization, The Route to Reform: Blueprint for a 21st Century Federal Transportation Program will serve as T4 America’s proposal for the policies and financing structures necessary to achieve real transformational change in America’s transportation system.

To highlight the details and value of the reforms called for in the Blueprint, T4 America will in turn host a panel briefing of transportation industry experts Monday, May 11 on Capitol Hill:

Keynote: Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania

  • James Corless: Director, T4 America
  • Andy Cotugno: Director of Planning, Metro (Portland, Oregon)
  • Ron Kilcoyne: General Manager/CEO, Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority
  • Elaine Clegg: City Council Member (Boise, Idaho)
  • Astrid Glynn: Former Commissioner, NY DOT

If you’re nearby, we’d love to have you join us. RSVP today. We’ll be posting the Blueprint here on the same day.
