The advantage of buses is that bus routes can be added to many existing neighborhoods. For the same cost, many more bus routes can be run, and they are more flexible. If we are to reduce the amount of driving by the typical person, we must use buses.

While I am partial to rail, I am a strong supporter of improved bus service. I use the bus to cover 60 miles of what was, a few months ago, a 70 mile round trip daily commute to work. The bus in the morning for part of the trip has reclining seats and I have been resting and even snoozing on that part of the trip. I will not go back to driving when I can avoid it.
