Apple “unplugs” itself from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in protest of the business group’s opposition to climate change efforts. (TNR)

Not only are many businesses distancing themselves from the Chamber, but they are also engaging in a lobbying blitz in favor of Senate legislation. (NYT)

Among the challenges facing Rio in the run-up to the 2016 Olympics is making its bus rapid transit system as fluid as possible. (WSJ)

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told Florida legislators to “get your act together” on high-speed rail or get along with fewer stimulus funds. (Orlando Sentinel)

And, Jay Walder, who started his career at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and then worked for London’s transit system, is returning to the MTA as chairman. (NYT)
