Slate’s Daniel Gross notes that while anti-transit advocates habitually decry government funding of public transportation, they gloss over the billions in subsidies provided for highways.

    Um… the author of that article admitted he misread the figures and exaggerated the amount spent on highways by 1200%. I really don’t think that deductions for work vehicles comes anywhere near the amount spent directly on mass transit. Besides which, the majority of drivers in this country do not drive a company car… sorry.
